From Tim's email to Club members on Tuesday, August 18:
My heartiest thanks to those who have been able to help with the Community Action of Laramie County (CALC) farmer's market.  We are making a difference!  Patrick Brady, their board president and soon a Kiwanian, reports that each week they have set new records in sales and will be able to do even more to help our community.
In case you don't know CALC, here's a short blurb about their community mission:
Community Action of Laramie County (CALC) is a leader dedicated to reducing poverty in Laramie County by empowering people to achieve self-sufficiency through education, advocacy, intervention and community partnerships.
As you'll note, they are all about helping to improve our community just like us!  When we help them, we are really helping our community.
We're in pretty good shape for this Saturday in terms of event support.  What would be great is if we could get a couple of folks to man a Kiwanis table and share the word about us and perhaps land a member or two!  Who, who will step up to make this happen???  Let's man a table!
Here's the link to sign up to support the market--we
