September 11 - 17: Kiwanis Youth Protection Week

 
Kiwanis International has declared the week of September 11 through 17 to be Youth Protection Week.
 
Nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of those we serve—and of the Kiwanians who serve them. That’s why Kiwanis International annually presents Youth Protection Week. 
 
An email with attachment containing the guidelines was sent out to all members on September 22nd. After completing the training, you and your fellow club members should be able to:
  • Understand the Youth Protection Guidelines.
  • Identify troubling behavior or abuse.
  • Respond appropriately if a child discloses abuse to you or if you witness troubling behavior.
Kiwanis members can also access http://reporting.kiwanisone.org/onlineeducation to review it on their own time.
