The Rocky Mountain District of Kiwanis annual convention will be held in Cheyenne this year, from Aug 3 through 6, at the Little America Hotel.
This is a great opportunity to see what a convention is like, to meet new people and get ideas for incorporation in our own Club's operations. Since it is being held in Cheyenne, you don't have to travel. No motel bill to pay (although our Club helps defray the costs of attendance at district conventions). You get to sleep in your own bed each night. You can select your own participation based on the time you have available and your own interests.

If nothing else, seriously consider attending the interclub luncheon on Saturday at noon. Highlights include a distinguished guest speaker, a roll call of attending clubs, and comments from District leadership, as well as fellowship with members of other clubs in the District. This will also be a great time to make a lot of noise and encourage our candidate for Governor-elect: Tim Sheppard.
