The 2016 Kiwanis FFA Livestock Sale was held Friday, August 12th, at the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center and featured the second-highest total sales in the 52-year history of the sale.
 
Buyers spent a total of $104,186.50 in support of 36 FFA members' efforts. 
 
There was one all-time high sale. Breah Rosner sold the Reserve Champion Goat to Capital Lumber Company for a record $2,250.
 
In addition, EOG Resources donated $18.95 to each of the 36 sellers, Mile-Hi donated $1,000 which was split between the 10 lamb sellers and Agfinity donated $1,000 to Layne and Reese Burnett.
 
Grand champions were sold to Spradley Barr Motors (Trey Stillahn's Grand Champion Steer), Capitol Lumber (Kaycee Thomas' Grand Champion Lamb) and K's Trailer Parts and Service (Kaycee Thomas' Grand Champion Hog).
