2018 Great Decisions Discussion Group

Great Decisions is America's largest discussion program on world affairs, sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association.  The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book, watching the DVD and meeting in a Discussion Group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today.
This year's discussion topics include:
Waning of Pax Americana?
Russia's Foreign Policy
China's Geopolitics
Media and Foreign Policy
Turkey: Partner in Crisis
U.S. Global Engagement & the Military
South Africa's Fragile Democracy
Global Health Issues
Materials are paid for by the Club and are free to the participants.
This forum has been sponsored by our Club for years and often provokes some spirited discussion.
All eight of the discussion sessions are scheduled for Tuesday mornings at 7:00 am, at the Radisson, beginning Tuesday, February 13 and each week thereafter.
Club member Wayne Herr is the discussion leader. The number of participants is limited by the number of books available. (Sorry to report that, as of noon, Thursday, February 1st, all the books have been spoken for. Look for next year's announcement if you have considered participating but missed out this year.)
